How to calculate VAT
To add VAT: multiply the amount by the rate. Saudi example: 1,000 × 15% = 150 VAT; total 1,150.
To extract VAT from an inclusive amount: divide by (1 + rate). Example: 1,150 ÷ 1.15 = 1,000 before VAT; VAT is 150.
